...Freshman interclub fall regatta was held yesterday under exceptionally favorable conditions. The water was smooth and a slight wind was against the crews. Three crews from both the Newell and the Weld were entered. The course was from the Union Boat Club 1 1-2 miles up stream. The positions of the crews at the start were, beginning at the Beacon street wall: 1, Third Weld; 2, Third Newell; 3, Second Weld; 4, Second Newell; 5, First Weld; 6, First Newell...
...hard and timely hitting the nine won the second game from Pennsylvania on Saturday, 11 to 3. Pennsylvania's errors with men on the bases made the game an easy one. At times the crew showed a tendency to go to pieces but Bancroft kept the stroke steady, and, on the whole, the boat travelled much better than it has before...

In the field Harvard did some brilliant work, two fast double plays being especially notable, and Michigan's smooth and easy fielding was the best done on Soldiers Field this year. At the bat Michigan did not make as many hits as Harvard, but of them were harder and came more opportunely. Taking into consideration the cold weather and slippery ground, Harvard's general playing was faster and more accurate...
...Senior, Junior and Sophomore Newell crews and the Senior and Junior Weld crews went out on the river for the first time yesterday afternoon. The water was very smooth and almost entirely free from ice so that it was possible to use the shells without danger. Each crew was out about half an hour and rowed in short stretches by fours and eights. The blade work of all the men was rather ragged but for the first day the rowing was very encouraging...
