Last Wednesday the two University four-oar crews rowed a race over the mile and seven-eights course in the basin. Crew A, which was captained by Severance at No. 3, won by about eight lengths in fast time. It seems to be a well-developed and smooth four-oar for so early in the season. After the race Crew B was re-organized, P. Withington, Hooper, and Tabor replacing Richards, Smith, and Ellis at No. 3, No. 2 and bow respectively. ...Cornell, but it seemed to lack life and drive, and the rowing of the crew seemed to be more fitted to a four-mile race.
