...Wadsworth House, an old foundation wall, extending some forty feet, was recently uncovered. Only the lower courses of the wall were to be seen, the upper courses having been dispersed many years ago when the water pipes were laid in the street. Enough remained, however, to show that the smooth or inner face was toward the north, proving it to have been in all probability the collar wall of a building standing on the north side of the street. It may safely be claimed that the building itself must have been either the original "Harvard College," built...

...game was noticeable. A successful forward pass, Howe to Vaughan was the feature of the game. The final mid-week game against Holy Cross was disappointing, owing in part to hot weather. Poor football characterized the game, which Yale won by the score of 12 to 0. By consistently smooth and machine-like play, Yale rolled up a total of 36 points against the Springfield Training School. Howe ran the team well, using excellent judgment at critical points...

Last Wednesday the two University four-oar crews rowed a race over the mile and seven-eights course in the basin. Crew A, which was captained by Severance at No. 3, won by about eight lengths in fast time. It seems to be a well-developed and smooth four-oar for so early in the season. After the race Crew B was re-organized, P. Withington, Hooper, and Tabor replacing Richards, Smith, and Ellis at No. 3, No. 2 and bow respectively. The two crews will probably race again either today or tomorrow. This year it has been planned...

...Cornell, but it seemed to lack life and drive, and the rowing of the crew seemed to be more fitted to a four-mile race. Cornell rowed a higher stroke throughout the race than the crew has been accustomed to use this year, but the slow recovery and smooth and even slide work was still maintained...
