...received high marks for two or three years hardly cares to court a D by taking a subject that he realizes he may get that mark on,- no matter though the course be both desirable and beneficial. The rule stands as a temptation to take snap courses and as a beacon light to earn men from instructors who have the reputation of being hard markers, although these self same instructors may be among the most desirable men to be under, in the college. ...uninteresting manner. The rushers on both sides were poor. Germer in attempting to make a fair catch collided with Devens and lost the ball. Bancroft got it and passed to Bradle, who made a touchdown. Perry failed to kick the goal. The playing now seemed to be without any snap. ...whole the Harvard men had better put a little more snap into their game if they expect to make the showing against Princeton on Saturday and against Yale in the race for the championship that the college has a right to ask. The nine has severe hard iuck, but yet that should awaken it to greater enthusiasm and courage. We hope that yesterday's game will do something to stop the fooling which has been indulged in much too frequently lately. The score...
