Practice for the candidates for the University track team was held on Saturday at 12 o'clock, and owing to the snow, all work was confined to the Gymnasium. The men went through a dumb-bell drill, exercised with the chest-weights, were practiced in starts on the short straightaway in the basement, and ran ten easy laps around the gallery track...

...vicinity of Cambridge is at the open rink on Franklin Field, Franklin Park, Boston, and at the enclosed rink of the Cambridge Skating Club, corner Mt. Auburn and Willard streets, Cambridge. Jamaica Pond at Jamaica Plain and Wood Island Pond at East Boston have been cleared of snow and the ice is in fair condition. There is very good skating on all the ponds in the Boston Park system.
