Arctic Issue. Some disenchantment was inevitable. More and more Canadians are beginning to learn, however, that while Trudeau occasionally behaves like a 50-year-old playboy, more often he comes on as a sober, responsible leader. Canadians thought that the Prime Minister's official house at 24 Sussex Drive might become a rendezvous for jet-set types. It is busy, all right, but as a member of Trudeau's Liberal Party describes it: "Labor leaders on Thursday. Next week businessmen. Maybe a royal commission. Hardly swinging...

...looked up at the modern paintings which glared incongruously like colorful Rorshach inkblots from the walls of the Faculty Club dining room. Singer seemed at home in the sober stateliness of the wood-pancled room with its immense chandclier. He might have been an old alumnus returning to recapture an earlier cra, but his marvelous Yiddish accent spoke of a childhood spent elsewhere. ...moment, Ford, Chrysler and American Motors give no sign of drastically revising their advertising. Yet the sober values of Middle America are rapidly replacing the often giddy priorities that characterized the nation's buying -and selling-habits over the last decade. As the consumer becomes increasingly cost-conscious, a rising stress on value in auto advertising is almost a certainty...
