...editorial printed in the CRIMSON yesterday, by a communication printed in this issue. The fact has been overlooked that there are a large number of experienced musicians in the University which the society has been unable to attract. Moreover, while the Sodality itself draws a distinction between the social organization and the orchestra, outsiders will not draw the same distinction, to the disadvantage of the orchestra. Discrimination against eligible men on account of race or religion is alleged and a spirit of dissatisfaction is the result. Such discrimination should not be tolerated for a minute in such an organization...
...University Register have reported as yet, I feel that the importance of this book is not generally realized. It is published by the Student Council, because it is felt that there is a need for a book which outlines all college activities from the athletic teams to the social clubs. Nor can the general work of the Society be given a very high place, either in the variety of their programmes, or in the quality...
...next activity of the social service committee was the old clothes collection. This year it has been in charge of H. L. Nash '16 and R. Mead '15, and the work has been very well done, as the record breaking collections of the year testify. This work, however, is too big for one or two men to handle. There should be one responsible individual chairman of a committee of say five or six men. Each of these men should be responsible for the collectors and collection in certain specified dormitories. It is unfair to compel one man to give...
