Although the ground was soft and the wind high the practice was not at all discouraging. During last summer the floor of the cage in the Carey Building was made over and improved. The ground in the cage has before always been soft and dusty, but now it is hoped that it has been improved, by the addition of street scrapings, which will give a harder floor. It is as yet undecided whether or not pipes will be put in to heat the room, but if it is determined on, the pipes will be put in place before the nine begins indoor practice in the cage...
