Only three numbers were impressive. They were "Chop-Chop" featuring a beautiful clarinet solo by Eari Bostic, Dinah Washington's rendition of Ellington's "Concerto for Cootie' now retitled "Do Nothing 'Til You Hear From Me," and Hampton's superb vibraphone work ably backed by the Symphony strings on "Moonglow."
