...rather frightening, really. Somewhere, somehow it'll be happening, and you can't do anything to stop it. At any given 20-minute-or-more pre-planned slot this weekend, it will be going on. And when it's not going on, people will be thinking about it. You're probably thinking about it right now: ARTS FIRST...
...students fought back, but eventually all were removed, a number of them bleeding from blows to the head. In the remaining months of the semester, the Harvard Faculty and administration were faced with the immensely complicated task of somehow attempting to prevent the campus from erupting in continued acts of violent protest--all the while trying to determine what exactly had happened in the takeover and how the perpetrators should be disciplined...
...then Wang Kuilong (Ch'ien-hung Chan) reappears in New Park. A wealthy and exotic figure, he is somehow connected to the park legend about the long-dead hustler Phoenix Boy, and his Dragon Prince, the lover who destroyed him in a fit of mad passion long ago. Neither has the weak image women receive as mothers been satisfying. For the purpose of rectifying this situation, we developed feminism to liberate...
Some of the multiple-player scenes did succeed in pacing themselves successfully. Such was the case in a scene from The Taming of the Shrew: Steindler, a ferocious Kate, and Hanson, as a positively alarming Petruchio, managed somehow to give the comic scene a deeply sinister overcast. A more complete success was the closing selection, Lady Macbeth's famous sleepwalking episode from Macbeth, in which Staniunas as the somnabulant homicide and Wood as her Gentlewoman gave a deeply disturbing performance. The JCR's lighting was fully exploited to create a frighteningly shadowy scene...
