Yesterday the crew used the new Webb shell for the first time. The boat is stiff, carries the men well and is on the whole very satisfactory. It will be used from now on regularly. The new Claspar boat which proved somewhat light for the 'Varsity was used yesterday by the Freshmen, who will take it to Worcester on Thursday for their race on Lake .Quinsigamond. A new set of oars has arrived from Douahue and these will be used with the new boat. In all probability the crews and substitutes will leave for Poughkeepsie on the second of June...

...game was pretty well played throughout, but the Yale team was clearly outfielded and outbatted. McCornick's pitching, though somewhat wild at times, was, on the whole, very effective. He struck out seven men, and, except in the sixth, allowed no two of the five hits made off him to be made in the same inning. He also fielded his position well, and two of his assists were difficult stops of high bounding grounders...

...Glee Club did extremely well on the whole. "Johnny Harvard" they sang with much spirit, but somewhat too fast, thus losing a little of the effect. The "Rhine Wine" song was well done and deserved its encore, as did F. A. Turner's solo. The second series of songs the Glee Club sang was mediocre, but in their final appearance their work was creditable, G. R. Osborne's solo being especially good...
