...freshmen defeated the Cambridge High and Latin School yesterday, but it was due rather to the exceptional weakness of the C. H. L. S. than to any strength of the freshmen. The latter played miserably in the first half, but redeemed themselves somewhat in the second. O'Connor and Smith did not play with them and this made the centre unusually weak. Barton and Watson played a strong game and Garrison at quarter did creditable work. ...sharply contested practice game was played yesterday afternoon between '95's class team and the Manual Training School, which resulted in a victory for '95.
