...Norton's other remarks are somewhat inaccurate, but I'm sure he meant no injury. Stanford is unique in its beauty and when one has lived on the "Farm" he finds it difficult not to place Stanford on a higher level than other institutions as regards dormitories and school equipment. The dormitories of Harvard are somewhat older than those of Stanford and perhaps their environment is not so beautiful, for nature lends a helping hand in making the buildings and surroundings at Stanford beautiful as they...

...remaining verse in the number is interesting and somewhat varied. Mr. Norris's "Ways of Wisdom" is more adequate in expression than his "Sacrament," perhaps just because the feeling is less intensive. Mr. Putnam's first sonnet is graceful and possesses what undergraduate poems often lack--logical structure. His second does not so clearly deserve this praise. "Crepuscule," by Mr. Hillyer, is a pretty conception prettily worked out. The verse runs well and the reminiscences of older English poetic diction (in a good sense) are not unpleasing. Teschner '17, who has won first place against Yale in both dashes the last two dual meets. He will bear the brunt of the work, but will be helped out by W. Moore '18 and H. C. Flower '19, who won the 100 and 220-yard events in the 1919 meet with Yale...

...affords the slightest chance of human characterization. Mr. Handy sides and Mr. Robertson hardly succeed in conveying a proper illusion as English statesmen. Mr. Guy Bates Post in the leading role was always interesting and sometimes admirable. At the end of anticlimax No. 1, Mr. Tully, the producer, announced somewhat unnecessarily "that Mr. Post would be soon seen again in these parts in 'Hamlet'--or something worth while." We fear he was just being witty. But Mr. Post would be adequate in anything...
