Fans love victories over national powers, but the truth is they are somewhat overrated. St. Lawrence beat No. 2 UNH on the road Saturday—Harvard has not defeated a team ranked that high in the Mazzoleni era. Yet that upset puts the Saints at 3-11-1 on the year, good for last in the ECAC. I doubt any Harvard player would be willing to trade places with St. Lawrence right...

Moore didn’t bat an eye when Harvard’s rotation left her guarding Minnesota’s Kadidja Anderson. A few of the fans, however, may have, as the 5’2 Moore made somewhat of an odd couple when matched with the 5’11 Anderson...

...Elysée Treaty, on Jan. 22, when Charles de Gaulle and Konrad Adenauer pledged strengthened Franco-German cooperation as "an indispensable step on the way toward a united Europe." Both countries want to amplify the E.U.'s voice in foreign and security policy, a task made somewhat simpler by the fact that nato - to whom Germany remains more indebted than France - is fading in influence. He gets his toga into a twist over a brat named Sedgewick Bell (Emile Hirsch), a cheeky cheat in whom he somewhat mysteriously detects good stuff. The conventions of the genre usually dictate that the boy will ultimately reform. The considerable originality of The Emperor's Club (directed by Michael Hoffman) lies in the fact that the kid gets worse, not better, going on to sleazy dotcom millions and, of course, politics. This leaves the prissily played Hundert sadder and wiser. But it still may leave...
