Maybe we're overawed--we are, after all, young and impressionable. And it's true, the last time we were at Liberty they were playing the Pulp Fiction Soundtrack (which, incidentally, has had its proverbial fifteen minutes of fame). But if anyplace can pull that, it's lady Liberty. Simply, the service is infinitely better than at Algiers, you don't need to worry about running into that TF whose section you just skipped, and it's just so much cooler than...
Three excellent performances, beautiful cinematography, and good flashback editing cannot save "Dolores Claiborne" from its suffocating script. Hollywood has corrupted this movie by turning King's confessional into a flat mother-daughter drama. At least it doesn't have an alternogrunge soundtrack...

Danna's music, which uses Indian instruments and draws on classical, popular Indian influences, contributes to the director's exploration of exoticism and desire. Cohen's song reflects on the characters' situation: everybody knows something is going on, yet no one can see the whole picture or address the situation...
