Swain, professor of civil engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will speak on "Engineering as a Profession" in the Living Room of the union tomorrow evening at 8 o'clock. After being graduated from the Institute of Technology in 1877, Professor Swain studied engineering abroad. He has been an engineer of the Massachusetts Railroad Commission for 20 years, a member of the Boston Transit Commission for 15 years, and engineer for various bridges across the Connecticut and Merrimac Rivers...
