Cunniff's passing was not as good as White's and was partly responsible for some of the fumbling. Brill was unreliable, but Spear, who replaced him in the second half, was fast and did some good work in breaking through and blocking plays. O'Brien played his usual steady game at end. After about ten minutes the scrimmage resolved itself into an exchange of punts. Frequent changes were made in practically every position and several punters were tried. Leonard and Foster did some very good kicking and Spear broke through several times and was down the field almost as soon as the ends. O'Brien, who played left end in the scrimmage, is very fast and also a strong defensive player. The only gain that has been made around his end in the last three days practice was on a fumbled pass...
