...meet the national needs the University has been asked to offer several complete courses in engineering for members of the S. A. T. C., and a special course in mechanical engineering for members of the Naval Unit. All these courses will begin October 1, and will last for two years. ...thirty-five University undergraduates that were accepted by the American Red Cross for ambulance driving during the past summer at the Italian front, twenty-one are now definitely known to have been decorated by the Italian governenmt. These men sailed for Europe soon after the close of the special examinations held last spring.
