...finale, all three Holden choirs joined to sing the traditional English carol "God Bless the Master", arranged by Vaughan Williams. This piece exudes a cheery, positively glowing holiday spirit as it successively blesses different members of the household, ending with: "The Lord increase you day by day, and send you more and more." ...from the '50s just like those which the movie so savvily spoofs. The movie seems to critique belligerent nationalism and militarism from the inside out; and yet, the jazzy thrill of watching those bugs get picked off is great enough that the audience participates in that very same militarist spirit. ...slasher movie. The movie's theme "Scream," by Master P featuring Sukk the Shocker, presents a wailing cry for help, obviously fitting into Wes Craven's attempt to bring the horror movie genre into mainstream pop culture. Most humorously, the Kottonmouth King's "Suburban Life" recreates the spirit of idiotic teenage angst that hasn't been so perfectly dealt with since the "You Gotta Fight for Your Right to Party" by the Beastie Boys...
