...Harvard football team has been through the hardest schedule, in years this fall, but in spite of two defeats and numerous injuries has undoubtedly benefited by it. The Princeton, Carlisle, and Dartmouth games have given the men, both regulars and substitutes, a thorough trying-out, and they will enter the Yale game knowing what it is to fight for every last inch of ground with a team of their own caliber. This was not true last year when the team has two easy games before the Yale game, and was not fitted with the proper experience for a championship contest...

Leslie, the other guard, has maintained a very high standard of defensive play, in spite of the fact that it is his first year on the team. Persistent plugging and tenacity of purpose have won him his place on the eleven. As a defensive player he is in a class with Captain Fisher, though offensively he is not so strong. The Princeton, Carlisle, and Dartmouth games of the last three Saturdays have showed conclusively that the 1911 Harvard football...

When the last whistle has blown, such names as Camp, McDevitt, Scully, and Bomeisler may well be coupled with those of Coy and Shevlin in Yale's brilliant football annals. In spite of all that can be said, we expect that Captain Howe will lead out a squad today which will exceed in power any Yale squad that has appeared on Soldiers Field for many a year. And the reason will be that Yale's whole season depends upon the result of today's battle. The Princeton game did Yale more good in preparation for Harvard than any amount...
