Yale is counting on making a good showing in the 880-yard run with Spitzer, Mann, and Kirjassoff. Beck of Pennsylvania has made the fastest time of the season for this distance, however, and may come in ahead of the Yale runners. An even more formidable competitor is French of Cornell, who was second last year. Princeton has a good team entered for this event in Whitely, Laird, and Frantz.
