...Surely gymnastics afford a splendid test of athletic efficiency, developing coordination of all the muscles. This year more men came out for the team than for many years past. These men had fine natural ability. If they had had a coach, they would have developed into a well-rounded team, since there were good men for all the apparatus. Having no coach, they had to train themselves practicing their old "stunts" and picking up a few new ones. When they met well coached teams, they were ignominiously defeated. Amherst beat them...
...This is a notable day in the annals of Harvard. We are assembled to witness the laying of the corner stone of a building that will not only surpass in its splendid proportions any other that has been erected for us in the two hundred and seventy-seven years of the life of Harvard University, but it will also fill a long felt and grievous want, for it will furnish a place where our students can make the best use of every volume helpful to their education; a home for the treasures of learning and literature that have accumulated here...

Unfortunately for Miss Henie, she has again been paired with Don Ameche, who should be pulling his darling little black mustache and muttering "foiled again"; and this time Ethel Merman and her fire-alarm voice have been thrown...
...Page, alternating between the 145-pound and 135-pound weights, has also been beaten in every match. Because of his undefeated record as a Freshman, wrestling fans were forecasting for him a splendid season, but he has had his share of disabilities and is still only a Sophomore. Al Richter, whom he has replaced in the 135-pound class, lost every encounter except Brown and M.I.T. Richter is conscientious and is a first-rate grappler. Undoubtedly he will become one of Pat Johnson's chief assets soon...
