...Regular spring work for candidates for the University and Freshman track teams will begin today on Soldiers Field, and all are expected to report regardless of weather. Although the Stadium track is not yet dry enough for regular work, the men will run on side walks and under the Stadium for the next few days. The straightaway will probably be in condition by the middle of the week, but it is doubtful if the whole track will be in condition before the first of next week...

...Senior against the so-called two-sport rule, which, it is claimed, seriously handicapped the swimming team in its recent meet with Yale. Without the services of an experienced swimmer, who had played football during the fall and wished to take part in the more important contests of the spring, the team was undoubtedly at a considerable disadvantage. We are inclined to doubt the extent of injury that the rule has done, but here certainly is a specific instance of its harmful possibilities. More volunteers are needed for the work of the Entertainment Troupes, as there has been considerable difficulty in filling the bi-weekly calls this spring. The work consists in visiting hospitals and various institutions, and men of any ability to entertain are needed. Violinists are especially necessary. In undertaking this work, volunteers do not incur any definite obligations, but they will be called on from time to time on the average of once a month, and need only give their services when convenient. Those interested should send names and what they can do in the way of entertainment...
