Weed, Jr., '09, who have been rowing steadily on the Cornell eight all the spring. The resignation of these men, together with that of bow and stroke of the four-oar, was requested on account of the ill-feeling and dissension which has been current among the men all the season. ...this evening is more attractive than usual because it gives the members of the University one of the rare opportunities of hearing the University Musical Clubs informally. These clubs provide a delightful and popular entertainment, but practically their only concerts are the formal occasions with Yale and Cornell. Last spring the Mandolin Club and some Swedish singers gave an entertainment in the Yard during the busy examination period, but no regular Yard concerts were held.
