Prospects for the dashes are exceptionally promising even though Lourie is the only man back from last year's short distance runners. In one of the best 100-yard races of his career, Lourie, at Exeter, barely defeated C. H. Wansker '23, the present University sprinter who was then running for the all-Boston Interscholastic team, in the fast time of ten seconds flat.
