...several members of the Senior crew are unable to continue rowing, it has been decided to have a picked crew from the three upperclasses race Worter High School on Lake Quinsigamond next Saturday. R. G. Crandall '09 is ineligible for the University crew squad as he entered the Law School last fall, and R. Ellis '09 will leave with the second University crew for Philadelphia on Thursday...
...nine-year cup offered by graduates of the two institutions. The situation in regard to the meet is analogous to the circumstances which attended the football game last fall. Yale started the year with a corps of veterans, while the Harvard coaches began their work with a squad for the most part untried in intercollegiate contests. No point winners of last year's team remain in seven events, while Yale will be well supported in all but one by men who won places last spring. The excellent work which Captain Rand and Coaches Donovan and Quinn have done in developing...

It is individual coaching of the kind that even the best university players seldom receive...
...same time on Soldiers Field this afternoon, for we should like to see the usual supporters of the baseball team at the lacrosse match with Columbia. Of recent years it has become the custom to speak rather disparagingly of lacrosse at Harvard, and to designate the members of the squad by an amusing but not particularly delicate title. It is hard to understand why this feeling exists at Cambridge, but it undoubtedly does exist, and it can only be done away with by the good record and the personnel of the various University teams. The game itself is very interesting...
