...Stanley Conklin Swift, Gr. '15-16, a private in Co. D, 59th Inf., died from wounds on Oct. 4, 1918, in France. He went to the front in the middle of July, and on the 19th of that month was wounded in the thigh and hand. For five weeks he remained in a hospital and was then sent to a replacement camp. He returned again to the front and was later reported, missing. The official telegram reports that he died from wounds.
