Shot in black and white by a portly guy with an avowed taste for dope, LSI) and a wacked-out artist named Starman, the ten minute film generates a general feeling of Vilencia's love for the camera, his project and the construction paper he tacks on the wall in various configurations (er, images). THREE of Hoss' buddies give terrific back-up performances. David " 'Vid" Buttaro and Randal Jean Baptiste provide moments of refreshing comic relief as astrologer and general space cadet Starman and hip deejay Galactic Jack. In addition, Glenn Kiser's clever portrayal of Hoss' doctor, a cowboy-boot-wearing drug supplier, leaves the audience wishing Shepard had given this character more lines...
...Dawber (Mork and Mindy) becomes a roommate and surrogate parent for a runaway sibling in CBS's My Sister Sam. In ABC's Heart of the City, a police detective has himself transferred out of the SWAT unit so he can spend more time with his motherless children. And Starman, also on ABC, brings back the alien from John Carpenter's 1984 sci-fi film and unites him with the son he fathered on his first trip to earth...
