...With Yudhoyono, a former three-star general and Indonesia's first directly elected President, in front with a commanding lead, the opposition is now warning that the election - the country's second free poll since the fall of strongman General Suharto in 1998 - will be fraught with irregularities. "I have raised the issue of the voter rolls since day one," candidate Megawati, who currently stands at a distant second with a projected 20% of the vote, recently told foreign journalists. ...fantasy - thus allowing the nobility to stay in power amid widespread poverty. Enter K-20, the Fiend (kaijin) with 20 Faces, who can assume almost any identity, and who steals from the rich but also oppresses the poor. Only one man (pan-Asian star Takeshi Kaneshiro) can stop K-20 - if he can just figure out what evil genius is behind that ever-changing mask. Her name was engraved on the National Stadium a few years back. Mulanovich is also highly popular, but following in her footsteps is limited by a number of factors, including the basic necessity of being close to surfing waves...
...inspiration to both young men and women who want to follow in her footsteps. One young amateur boxer, Rocio Gaspar, calls herself "Kinita" or "Little Kina" fought on the undercard on Malpartida's fight night and won her three-round bout. Meanwhile, Jonathan Maicelo, Peru's rising male boxing star, who was also on the undercard, says Malpartida might be the best thing that ever happened to the country's boxing. He told reporters, after defeating Mexico's Javier Gallegos, that Malpartida's fame might get local sporting authorities to recognize that soccer is not the only sport in Peru...
