...Freshmen lined up against them for the first time this season. And in this scrimmage the University eleven showed a much stronger offensive and defensive playing power than was evident in the Tufts game a week ago. Provided that the Crimson team can overcome their tendency to fumble and start before the ball, they should have no difficulty in disposing of the North Carolinans...

...make education a vocational training instead of a personal cultivation, to make wealth instead of happiness the goal of a child's studies. A man of fifty surely is not a better surveyor or a better electrician for having attended a trade school at sixteen. He has simply started earlier, at the sacrifice of certain kinds of learning which cannot be acquired later. And if one fellow gets his start, others must compete with him in the same way. At the start of the game, Tufts gave the University two opportunities to score. Keefe, who received the kick-off, fumbled, the University team recovering on the 29-yard line. But attempts to make the distance through the line were unsuccessful, and on the fourth down Robinson tried a field goal which failed. Again, a few minutes later, C. A. Coolidge, Jr., '17, recovered Drummy's fumbled punt on the Tufts 27-yard...
