As I have never made such a charge, I leave it to the 'other man' to find specific case. What I have said is that the impression has prevailed that our athletic teams have not been representative, and I have cited the existence of this impression as an indication of the lack of unanimity in times past. Such a charge as favoritism should be taken seriously. I believe there is not the slightest foundation for it. If any disgruntled candidates have made it, let them state their case openly. Harvard cannot bear to let this go unanswered. I challenge Mr. Thayer or any other man to state a specific case where favoritism was shown...
