The Athletic Committee can only express their regret that through what appears to have been the unintentional suppression of facts, a member of the football team was declared eligible when he should not have been allowed to play on a Harvard team. The case of Mr. Cutts came before the chairman of the committee in the spring of 1901 and he was declared eligible. Walter Camp, treasurer of the Yale Financial Union, has recently issued a statement of receipts and expenses for Yale athletics during the past year. The report shows a deficit of about $1,400 on the total expenditure. A profit of $21,500 was made by the football association, and $3,000 was made by the baseball association, but there was a deficit of $6,000 for the boat club and about $2,800 for the track team. $17,500 was spent on the field, including $12,000 for a new grand stand...
