...have performed in four shows at Harvard over the past three years, and as a member of the cast of the upcoming HPT 151 show "I Get No Kick From Campaign," I take Johnson's considerations, recommendations and accusations extremely seriously. While I wholeheartedly agree with the statement that there are not enough opportunities for students to work with professional directors and choreographers, I think it unnecessary to call an end to a wonderfully unique tradition at Harvard in order to do so. In no way do I agree with the statement that the script, casting or production...

Truth is the foundation of our justice system. Trivializing the obligation to testify truthfully in a court room, regardless of the matter under investigation, is a serious, high crime against the state. President Clinton ought to do the honorable thing and resign, but his recent public statement indicate his extreme unwilligness to so. It's time for the President finally to step up and take responsibility for his actions in the open forum that a Senate impeachment trial would provide. It seems likely that the House will vote to impeach on Thursday. The staff's protestations aside...

...anger may blaze forth against them and that I may destroy them, and make of you a great nation," an echo of the murderous deal extended to Noah at the Flood. Moses, however, will not have it. He argues that such a course would render empty God's grand statement in bringing his people out of Egypt; it would also violate the compact he made long ago with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. In the past three and a half years, I've been lucky enough to witness Godspell, Little Shop of Horrors, In Trousers and City of Angels, to name the first and the best that come to mind. But to say that I've seen anything that sang, swang, danced, romanced and gambled its way into the audience's hearts as much as Guys and Dolls did would definitely be an exaggeration...

...Donnell's touch is gentle. He does not allow his narrative to slide into cliches, a balancing act hard to achieve when commenting on commericalized topics. This is perhaps most evident in his treatment of Christmas, a holiday so over-wrought with symbolism that any statement can seem trite. O'Donnell couples Tad's cynicism and mocking attitude with an underlying sense of hope and faith in the holiday. Tad is aware of the fake forms Christmas can take on; upon walking into his brother and sister-in-law's showcase of a home, he observes that "the impersonally tasteful...
