...such success obtained at a school with worse athletics than any Ivy League university? Through the fraternities running the events. All of them flew their Greek letters above their post, and each tried to outdo the others so their station would be the most popular. Since the social life at my friends' school revolves around these fraternities, the event was both fun and well-attended...

...attentive observer would note the inscription beneath the portrait: "He gave his life during construction/Harvard Square Station." This is certainly a major clue, if not a complete giveaway, to poor John's demise. Kelly was killed on May 18, 1982, during the extension project lengthening the MBTA Red Line through Harvard. Perhaps it is best, though, that the plaque does not go into details about the exact cause of John's death--it was a particularly nasty case. As superintendent of the project, Kelly was directing a crane, lowering an empty bucket into the excavation site for the subway tunnel...

Under the new plan, upperclassmen who are unable to return to their houses during the day for lunch will be able to select a sandwich, drink, fruit, cookies and chips from the Grab and Go station in the Yard, which will most likely be found in Loker Commons.
