Yale started off with a rush. Captain Gould got clear after a quick jump in front of the Freshman goal and scored after 1 minute, 58 seconds of play. Harvard did not stay behind long, however, as Percy tied the score on a pass from Thacher about a minute later. Taylor then put Harvard in the lead after receiving a pass from Morgan. Personally, I have every reason for believing that there exists in the Freshman class as large a group of men who stay away from smokers because beer is served, as the probable group who would not attend in the absence of that form of refreshment.
