Usage:

Loomis has let it be known that he hopes to steer public affairs programming away from "topical" areas and produce in-depth documentaries on crime, welfare, etc. Many inside and outside of the broadcasting business claim Loomis really does not understand what news is in the "topical" sense. News quickly becomes untopical and producing Loomis's lengthy documentaries would require months of lead time and enormous budgets. Miles from Hanoi, another flyer tried to steer his parachute away from militiamen on the ground. Landing, he pulled out his pistol, but the North Vietnamese disarmed him, yelling, "Hands up!
