...first point made is that Rob Steinberg "turned from goat to hero last week." This statement is not fair. While the William & Mary game was not a good one, a missed extra point and a 36 yd. punting average on a windy and rainy day does not make one a goat. The special teams--which include the line, the center, the holder, as well as the kicker--had a bad game. Similarly, the special teams had a good game against Cornell. ...analysis, Mr. Zucker also writes that "the punting has been atrocious in spots. Steinberg needs to improve his punting to become an offensive threat." It seems Mr. Zucker forgot to check the stats before the game. If he had, he would have noticed that Steinberg was the 2 punter in the league going into Saturday's game. Petite Joe Petite will try to smack heads and cover the run with only moderate success. KICKING GAME: Punter-placekicker Rob Steinberg turned from goat to hero last week with his game-winning field goal. His placekicking and kickoffs have been consistently strong, but his punting has been atrocious in spots. Steinberg needs to improve his punting form to become an offensive threat. Even KICKING GAME: Placekicker Craig Saltzgaber...

That play set up Steinberg's heroics, the pinnacle of an outstanding day for the senior kicker. Steinberg, who received the game ball for his performance, averaged 40 yards on five punts, his best outing of the season. In addition to his game-winning field goal, Steinberg also had a 19-yarder, two extra points, and two kickoffs that sailed out of the end zone, one of which actually split the uprights...
