...open mic session was pleasurably inconsistent, in quality and content. It didn't matter that some of the poems were less than stellar; the audience was ready to enjoy the collective effort at earnest communication-something you don't necessarily find everyday. It was interesting to note the lack of a clear-cut poetic hierarchy between the schools (sorry, Harvard). Nonetheless, Alexander Forrester '01 did make an impression with his poem, "Forty-Two," a six-part "answer to the question of the meaning of life" that weaved together allusions to the _Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy_ with Greek mythology...

...Banghart, an ultra-competitive, sometimes-showboating, often-overacting 5'8 point guard ("fiery" is too nice, "arrogant" too harsh) with a stellar career of her own, played up to her potential, which she failed to do against the Crimson the first time around. She set the Ivy three-point mark in the first half and connected on 8-of-16 from three-point land for the game while using an unorthodox scissor-kick shot. Her Ivy career ended with 145 treys, eclipsing the old mark...

Instead of succumbing to history, Harvard pulled off easy wins, defeating the Elis 5-2 and the Tigers 4-1. Junior center Steve Moore and younger brother, freshman center Dominic each had two goals and three assists and were joined with stellar play from junior center Chris Bala.
