This song’s SUCH a stinker that to this day I can’t believe they chose it as the first single to what will likely be Britney’s last album in a long time. Perhaps “Do Somethin’” means “Get Preggers” (rimshot!!). “One Thing” is better in the same way that “Hit Me Baby One More Time” was better than a funeral march...
...always hard to tell from the clips at upfront whether a show will be good (though it's easier to tell a real stinker), but Fox's set is at least more original-sounding than most other networks' (and they look much better than its horrible crop this season, "Wanda at Large" excepted). "A Minute with Stan Hooper" stars Norm MacDonald - as a New York TV personality who moves to small-town Wisconsin to produce a show and finds the locals are less simple than he expects. "Luis" stars character actor Luis Guzman ("Boogie Nights") as the owner...
...Mart's push into China--and Brazil and Germany and deeper into California and New York--offers a hint of why the world's largest retailer seems unfazed by this stinker of a holiday shopping season. Wal-Mart's sales in stores open at least a year were up only about 3% compared with the same period last year--at the low end of its expectations. But many other retailers were hurt much worse. Wal-Mart just keeps gaining market share, not only from bankrupt discounter Kmart but also from grocers like Kroger, drugstore chains like CVS and electronics sellers...

Wal-Mart's push into China - and Brazil and Britain and Germany and deeper into California and New York - offers a hint of why the world's largest retailer seems unfazed by this stinker of a holiday shopping season. Wal-Mart's 3% like-for-like sales increase in the fourth quarter was at the low end of its estimate. But Wal-Mart did better than most and its total sales this year will grow 10%, to about $240 billion worldwide in the fiscal...
Audiences have shied away from Last Castle, and most critics have declared it a stinker, except for one thing: Redford's performance as a court-martialed three-star general leading a prison revolt. He says he was intrigued by the role because he hadn't played a military character before. Still, it's the kind of part he specializes in: the canny outsider itching to outsmart the system. He has higher hopes for Spy Game, in which he co-stars with Brad Pitt, whom he directed in the 1992 drama A River Runs Through It. With Pitt as his former...
