Performers Betty McNally (Mrs. Stockmann), Jim Caudle (Dr. Stockmann), and Colette Auerswald (Petra Stockmann), each fall prey to a common inconsistency--switching indiscriminately from stereotypes to realism, not having developed the characters sufficiently to manage such a switch.
