...Stone's Biweekly, in 1971 after a 19-year run, and has turned to a new career: translating ancient Greek. Although his formal training was only a single semester of Greek more than 50 years ago at the University of Pennsylvania, he has translated a number of poems, five of which appear in the current issue of the New York Review of Books.
