Such cheaters are a small minority of the 10.2 million Americans who got jobless checks during the fiscal year just ended from individually run state compensation programs. Worse than all this is the movie's at tempt to make the audience accept such heavy, not to say klutzy, actors as Shaw and James Earl Jones as light-leaping, far-darting heroes. They work earnestly at trying to dance on air, but the strain shows. All that can be said is that their clumsiness matches that of the film's writing and direction. Swashbuckler sinks under its own weight like an over loaded galleon...
Then, as mysteriously as it had appeared, this strain of virus disappeared, or at least went underground. Apparently, perhaps with some minor mutation, it found its refuge among hogs -hence the appellation of "swine flu" given to the recent emergence of a similar flu strain at Fort...
...cooling-theory school is correct, however, the prospects for man are chilling. A global average temperature drop of only 1° could shorten the growing seasons in the temperate zones by a critical week or more and reduce food supplies. Increased heating requirements would put a further strain on energy sources...
