Randolph and Russell, who were nearest the Cambridge shore then fell a little behind, rowing a slow, clean stroke. Claverly and Mt. Just above the Harvard bridge, Russell and Randolph put up the stroke, and gained rapidly on Thayer, but the latter was able to sprint although it had been rowing the same high stroke all the way. It is almost impossible to predict the winner for this afternoon, as in Tuesday's race, not one of the five eights was able to gain a length. This final race is between Claverly, Mt. Auburn street, Randolph, Russell, and Thayer, as Dunster-Dana-Drayton, the sixth crew to qualify cannot row. All men should report at their boathouses, dressed to row, at 3 o'clock as any crew that is not on the line at 3.30 will not be allowed to race...
