...ironies of the Jonesboro massacre is that people looking for a refuge from stress and violence often try to escape to places very much like Jonesboro. But most of the recent school shootings have occurred in rural areas. Most of us don't even realize the danger. We spend our evenings crouched on straight-backed chairs, shifting and twisting for some modicum of comfort, staring blearily at oddly-angled monitors and typing furiously on stress-enhancing keyboards.
