At a meeting of the track lettermen yesterday, John P. Scheu '35, of New York City was elected captain of the 1935 Varsity track and field team, and at the same time Warren Sturgis '35, of Groton became Varsity manager for 1935.
*Russell Sturgis Hepburn, a Harvard classmate of Robert Houghton Hepburn but no kin, last week committed suicide in Cambridge by shooting himself through the heart.
John M. Morse '34, captain of track, and Warren Sturgis '35, assistant manager, each gave brief talks to the assembled men after an introduction by Coach Farrell. Both speakers stressed the value of track training and the benefits to be obtained from it.
