Should she decide to cooperate with Starr, Lewinsky may still be an unwitting ally of Clinton's. Even if Monica testified to a torrid Oval Office affair, says a White House insider, her credibility is now so ragged that it would be subject to reasonable doubt. The most senior cynics see an advantage here in the curious behavior of her lawyer, William Ginsburg: change her story often enough, and she becomes useless to Starr's case. She says in private she had sex, denies it in her affidavit, admits it in her proffer and then backs away from that. Which...
Indeed, the transformation has been such a success that it was the subject of a recent case study by the Harvard Business School. According to the study's co-author, Karen Wruck, the product that Landmark sells is "an abrupt or jarring change, like an 'aha'"--a "peculiar" one, certainly, but patently marketable. But Landmark, the study notes, has challenges ahead. It will have to gauge the effectiveness of its volunteers in expanding the business and weigh the need to raise outside capital. Perhaps, Wruck says, it will need to go public...
...viewed as a series of summary articles on U.S. foreign relations. Yet even by this criteria it falls short of expectations. The article on the recent history of the United States' relationship with China, a topic about which countless books and papers have been written, condenses this immense subject into 20 pages. Any one of the other essays--involving the Soviet Union, Nicaragua, Vietnam, Iraq, and Cuba--are also much more complex than can be expressed in such a small space...

If you come to Stupid, Stupid, Stupid with certain antigravity expectations, these lyrics will make you jealous. Distancing themselves from their subject matter through sarcasm, Black Grape come over to the audience, throwing a post-rock party where drugs, ex-girlfriends, and guitar solos are just instruments for the bands to play...
...final track, "It Hurts," standing alone, is an enjoyable tune; and with reference only to the song, its ending works well. But as the finishing piece of a CD such as 10, "It Hurts" is rather problematic. Perhaps the song was chosen to conclude the album due to its subject matter. The tune refers to the pain of endings, finishing by repeating the refrain, "It hurts to say it's over/It's sad to say it's gone." But this lyrical significance is tenuous at best, and on a CD of melodies, the final musical feeling is far more important...
