Kissinger worries that he will be dragged further into the scandals of Nixon's White House. The Secretary has been subpoenaed to testify at the trial of John Ehrlichman, the former domestic affairs chief, who is charged with conspiracy and perjury in the burglary of Daniel Ellsberg's psychiatrist.
