Lampy's arraignment of the College Office has a tone of seriousness in it; and well it might. The organization in Harvard's administration building is most imperfect. Many undergraduates know this to be a fact through experience; probably the administrative force itself would hesitate before denying it. The sub-Freshman fights his way into college between opposing statements on his standing. The Senior gives up the ghost when he finds that no one can solve his concentration problem...

...immediate danger of a party split at Chicago over the problem of adopting a suitable plank on the peace treaty seems to have been safely avoided. The sub-committee, acting with praiseworthy adroitness has succeeded in agreeing upon a resolution sufficiently non-committal to be acceptable to all parties. Senators Johnson and Borah may decide not to "bolt," Senator Lodge rests upon his laurels with a sense of gratification at having overridden his opponents' objections, and even the mildest reservationists seem to have fallen in line...

...realize, of course, that the list of sub-Freshmen is rarely complete until the last moment, and that a final assignment of advisors is consequently difficult. The minority of undecided cases, however, can be cared for, as at present, after the fall registration. When sub-Freshmen have satisfied all the requirements, and are sure of admission, there is no reason why they should be compelled to wait for the assignment of advisors, whose advice is of greatest value when soonest given, and of no value at all if given too late...

...office of Vice-President is a new one, created with a view toward securing greater co-operation in the various activities of the club. The Vice-President will be chairman of the general committee, comprising representatives from the various sub-committees, as the social committee and the committee on college singing. Men who have sung with the club for two half-seasons are eligible for election as regular members. The following were elected...
