...speculative price binges. It is the modern metal of communications, a major ingredient of the wires that serve the vast electrical-equipment industry, the huge utilities, and the radio and TV networks. Yet it has seldom caused more excitement than it did last week. A U.S. company, Texas Gulf Sulphur, announced the discovery of one of the biggest and richest copper lodes in history near Timmins, Ont., 350 miles north of Toronto. ...Mount Clemens, Mich., a former spa still reminded of its past by the faint odor of sulphur water, civic morale has been bolstered by the erection of the $350,000 headquarters of the Mount Clemens Federal Savings & Loan Association. ...gone along with the invitation to begin with, changed his mind, rescinded the invitation. But Teller was already on the way. Messengers raced to intercept him at rail stations along the way. They missed him. But somehow, it seemed, Teller got the word. He never appeared in White Sulphur Springs and next morning was back in Washington. Teller explained vaguely that he had just gotten tired, decided to turn back, and left the train-just where, he could not remember, because "it was dark." At week's end the Governors went home. They may not have solved too many...
