...usual number of changes, come through the season in not greatly altered form. In many of the preliminary games the team had hard struggles to avoid defeat, and it was only through the inability of the opposing elevens to keep up the strain imposed upon them by the superior weight of the Harvard team that such disastrous results were not encountered in more than one instance. Last Saturday, a lack of team-play all but ended in defeat at the hands of the Dartmouth eleven, but the experience of that was invaluable on account of the particular emphasis it gave...

...Seniors defeated the Sophomores yesterday, by the score of 18 to 0, thus winning the interclass championship for the fourth consecutive time. The game, which was hard fought throughout, was won by the Seniors' superior attack and team-work. Their formation and dive plays were run with great effectiveness and advanced the ball steadily by gains of from five to ten yards. The Yale goal-line has been crossed three times by inferior teams, while Princeton has only allowed one field-goal, but in general defensive work Yale outclasses Princeton. No eleven has made consistent gains through the Yale line. The candidates won through their superior team play, as the graduates were greatly handicapped in this respect by lack of practice. The graduate attack was very weak and lacked fight. Captain Penhallow played a steady, aggressive game at centre and held the team well together. Bennett at third attack played a brilliant but somewhat erratic game. For the graduates, Sever and Wynne played the best games. UNDERGRADUATES. GRADUATES. Tomlinson, g. g., McConaghy Tufts...

...kick-off allowed the ball to roll behind Harvard's goal. It was secured, however, and advanced out of its perilous situation just in time to prevent Pennsylvania from scoring a safety or possibly a touchdown. Only one of Harvard's two touchdown's was made strictly by superior playing, and that was in the first half when, after several ineffectual attempts, the ball was finally carried over the goal line on short rushes from the 28 yard line. The only other touchdown was made on a run of 53 yards by Stillman--practically the only time that the Harvard...
